Product Interoperability

Edgewater Networks, Inc. and Sylantro Systems announced today the interoperability
of Edgewater’s EdgeMarc Series converged network appliances and
Sylantro’s IP Centrex application servers. The interoperability
of these products facilitates the deployment of Hosted PBX and IP Centrex
applications while reducing total cost of ownership for service provider
customers.
Sylantro and Edgewater products are currently used together by many
leading service providers offering business-class, VoIP services to
the enterprise. Sentient Group, Inc. (Sentient) a provider and integrator
of fully hosted, managed voice and data services for business communications
has been using both products to deliver VoIPpro, a nationwide managed
communication service offering.

Designed to serve as the demarcation point between the WAN and the LAN,
EdgeMarc Series appliances effectively resolve the NAT/Firewall traversal
problems associated with deploying VoIP in the enterprise while at the
same time guaranteeing the reliability and availability of hosted communications
services. Additionally, using Edgewater’s Dynamic Access Control
List (DACL) technology, EdgeMarc Series appliances automate system configuration,
VoIP endpoint provisioning, VoIP call monitoring and problem resolution.
