Santa Clara, Calif. – January 7, 2005 – Edgewater

today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC®)’s INTERNET
TELEPHONY® magazine (www.itmag.com) has named the EdgeMarc 4300T
as a recipient of a 2004 Product of the Year Award. INTERNET TELEPHONY

The EdgeMarc 4300T enables service providers and enterprises to simplify,
secure and scale their converged networks. It is an access router that
integrates a T1 CSU/DSU, a 4 port ethernet switch and an encryption
accelerator into a single device. It includes software features that
remove the complexity and expense associated with deploying real-time
applications such as voice and video on an IP network.
These include a SIP, MGCP and H.323 VoIP application layer gateway that
securely resolves NAT/FW traversal problems, a stateful packet inspection
firewall, VPN support, quality of service features to ensure high quality
voice and video, call quality monitoring, VoIP call admission control
and VoIP survivability that provides local call switching during WAN
access link failures.
The 4300T is a flexible, “future proof” device that can
be deployed initially as an access router and then licensed through
software for advanced VoIP features when needed.
